Magyar spoke out against abolishing veto rights in the EU

Hungarian Prime Minister Peter Magyar does not support the idea of abandoning unanimity and switching to majority voting in the EU.

"I am not a supporter of introducing majority voting instead of the principle of unanimity in a number of areas now. We will negotiate and find a compromise," he said in an interview with the Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung newspaper.

He mentioned that he had long been a diplomat in the European Union and knows exactly how difficult it is to find a compromise among 27 states. At the same time, Magyar emphasized that most often it succeeds.
